Matthias Paper Corporation was established in 1904 as a distributor of decorative papers to the rigid and folding box industry in the Philadelphia, PA area. While continuing to grow its decorative paper sales, over the years the company has evolved into a premier converter/distributor for other markets that require specialty films, non-woven, pressure sensitive paper & tag along with a host of other new and exciting substrates.

In 1953, Matthias Paper expanded its horizons by opening a sales office and warehouse in the heart of North Carolina. This expansion allowed for better and quicker service to the entire eastern seaboard. In the late seventies we moved from Hickory, NC to our current location in High Point, NC. Our High Point facility offers all the same quality products and services as provided by our headquarters located in Swedesboro, NJ.

In 1986, expansion into two new markets have, to this day, played a big role in the continued growth of the corporation. The narrow web and contract converting markets present new and interesting challenges to our ever-changing business. While paper continues to be the main focus, we have added new substrates to our product line, as well as improving our capabilities for converting. Specialty films, non-woven and pressure sensitive materials have proven to be just a few of the many new niche markets in which Matthias Paper continues to excel. The growth into these markets resulted in the need for more space.

As a result of our growth, on April 17, 2000, we opened a new 50,000 square foot building in Swedesboro, NJ built for our specific needs. The fourth generation of Matthias is now in place to carry on the tradition of providing quality products and services to all of our customers, and, through them, the variety of markets served. Matthias Paper Corporation has remained a family owned and operated company serving the paper and allied products industries.
